Restore Diamond Lake Once called the "Gem of the Cascades, Diamond Lake's crystal blue waters and large rainbow trout were the attractions that for generations brought families together to fish, camp, hike and relax. For 40 years, an average of 100,000 people annually used Diamond lake for fishing alone. Millions of Tui Chub have now replaced the rainbow trout fishery and destroyed the clear water.

The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife plans to completely remove the Tui Chub population and reintroduce rainbow trout with fishing to resume in 2007. The total cost of this project is $5,568,000.

The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife has asked the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation to raise $1.865 million for this project. We have accepted this challenge and are asking for your help. Your donations of $25 or more will be used to fund the restoration of this beautiful "Gem of the Cascades".

Your donation also gives you a complimentary one year membership in the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation, a 501(c)3 non profit foundation.
